New Zealand isn’t really “On the Road” for me, it’s home. I’m currently on a brief stopover here, organising my visa and repacking my bags before I set off for a year in Spain. It’s so nice to be home and to see New Zealand through fresh eyes – not having lived here for over 3 years now I appreciate the landscape and nature even more. While I’m away I really miss the beaches, so I was glad to have a weekend away in Mangawhai to enjoy some more time by the sea. For winter it was very warm (t-shirts while hiking) and after a rainstorm I was even lucky enough to see a double rainbow.
